Mrs. Tripta Punj, popularly known as M.D.Madam is one of the best names in the field of engineering education, who lets her work do the talking. To her, financial administration is a way of life and she discharges these duties with the acumen of CA. She chooses to pursue this profession under the guidance of her father who pioneered Engineering and Pharmacy Education under the most trying circumstances in Patti in those harrowing days when population was migrating to other safer places. Well educated, cultured and master of many soft skills, she is a practical example of modern empowered women. Twentieth century Feminist Virginia Woolf  felt that if women were ever to gain equality, they would have to destroy this male-based glorified ideal of womanhood. But the sensationalized concept of Female domesticity is still prevailing.

As such, Madam Tripta was blooming girl of 21st century; she worked in coordination with her chairman husband Er. S.K.Punj and took initiative to start an Engineering Polytechnic in 1996 at Badhani, nested among the hills on the Pathankot - Dalhousie highway. Then there was no looking back, the Punj's added Engineering College with 5 branches, Institute of Computer Science (MCA and BCA), Pharmacy College (Both B.Pharmacy and D.Pharmacy) and now B.Ed. and MBA is in the pipeline. The institutes can boast of state of the art facilities and an infrastructure comparable to international standard. The institutes are imbued with liberal atmosphere that made the difference and she earned the gratitude and blessings of the visiting dignitaries and high-ups.

She emphatically says that "It is our commitment that we will continue to strive towards further excellence by neglected region". She is always keen to look forward to comments and feedback for future guidance. She attributes this phenomenal success to the Grace of god Almighty Sri Sathaya Sai Baba. She is deeply religious and inculcates spiritual education among the students. She is always seen checking the achievements of the students and keen to get their difficulties removed. In a way she insists on Morality as established truth, teach the systematic practice of empathy and desire to serve others. As such she has introduced proper curriculum for value education with role model.

She set up Institutes from scratch and made a success of it. She is on a mission to popularize entrepreneurship for the modern women. To go with Einstein- “Institutions are in a moral sense impotent unless they are supported by the sense of responsibility of living individuals”.

Madam opines that Art helps children perform better in many areas of life. It is a great stress-buster, helps memory, comprehension, organization, writing, reasoning and articulation of thoughts. Her management on cultural side is unique. The students enthusiastically participate in cultural activities, which is a fortnightly features. The open-air theatre is decorated like a marriage place for the performance and supervised by a guest. They also win prizes and medals, at various inter-university and inter-college competitions. Almost all departments put-up their reports and achievements in this respect.
